National Sustainability Symposium on Protection of the Ozone Layer: 16 September 2026

GHERI-UG is convening a national symposium on 16 September 2026 to bring together government, academia, technical professionals, industry, students, civil society and development partners for dialogue, training, exhibition and partnership on ozone protection and sustainable cooling.

The symposium sits within the Montreal Protocol and Kigali Amendment framework governing the phase-down of ozone-depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbons in the cooling sector, and connects directly to Uganda's own refrigeration, air conditioning and cooling-sector workforce.

Registration is open now for attendees, and GHERI-UG is separately seeking exhibitors and sponsors to take part.
