GHERI-UG is a Ugandan civil society organisation working on environmental research, innovation, community engagement, and sustainable development.
We turn evidence into action — research, solutions, resilient communities, partnerships. Our mandate: “Research, Innovate, Sustain, and Inspire Change.”
What began as a community-led initiative in 2023 is now Green Horizons Environmental Research Initiative Uganda Limited, registered 4 May 2026 as a company limited by guarantee. A Board sets strategy; the Executive Director leads day-to-day operations with programme, technical, monitoring, and community teams.
